I wouldn't have Streit or Moulson on this list. Streit's stay was too short lived and although he was solid while he was with the team, he doesn't have tenure. Moulson's talent was strictly on the coat tails of JT. I would like to see his point totals when not playing with JT. Lee and Bailey both proved that they could score without him. I would add Travis Hamonic and Frans Nielsen. Hamonic played hard every shift and was very involved in the community. Nielsen was solid defensively and on face offs, could add some offense, would have been a great 3rd C, and crushed the Shoot Out. |

If only we could have an in-his-prime Neilsen right now. |

Ben, you need to clarify the title of your blog. If you are talking about Islander players with a minimum number of games or years with the club. I can accept your list. If you are talking about the best players than I disagree.
1. Robin Lehner should be in the top ten. |

My favorite Isle all-time: Pierre Turgeon.
Yesyes, not this decade, or even last. |

Personally, I’d swap Streit for Cizikas.
72-97-169 and a +20 in 519 games. That’s pretty freaking impressive for a 4C, especially for his lack of PP minutes. And to cap it off, 13 of his 72 goals are game winners. |

Casey plays his role very well. He's been the Isles best penalty killer for years. |

Have to win this game tonight against a lesser team in the Devils. Saturday is going to be a tough match up against the Leafs who have been playing well. Need to tighten up defensively again like they were playing. |

Seems like they're not really showing up against the low-end opponents lately. They came out and played well against BOS and WSH but really mailed it in against some crap teams. Hopefully that's behind them. |

It's Tavares and no one else is close. He even scored the franchises' biggest goal since the last cup win 35 years ago |

Semyon Varlamov off the ice first at #Isles optional morning skate. If he starts, would be third in a row, which would be a first for Isles goalie this season.

They have the best record in the league vs the eastern conference but man they blow vs bottom 5 western teams |

Pretty incredible it was a strength of ours last season. We kicked the western conferences ass last season. I know we’ve won the last few games but they have to tighten up a bit. Hopefully the can start that tonight and be ready for Saturday. Division is too tight right now. Curious to see how the pens respond to losing Guentzel? |

The bold is exactly what makes Trotz the best coach this team has had since Arbor. |

Never being satisfied with your teams performance is exactly what separates a good coach from a bad one imo. We just beat the best team in the league but there were obvious negatives in that game. Refreshing to have a coach that can acknowledge it. Imagine Capuano’s response to that game. Our defense has been noticeably bad with Toews being the biggest culprit recently. |

It's night and day with coaching. I missed some games but Toews has been bad from reports. Is he focusing on offense too much? |
